Oracle introduced the Java Developer certification and scrapped its Associate title.
To gain the title of Java Developer you need to pass two
examinations – the Java SE 11 Programmer I | 1Z0-815 and the Java SE 11
Programmer II | 1Z0-816. If you are also

aforementioned, the Associate title has now been scrapped by Oracle. Completing either the Associate or Programmer certification exam
does not grant you any certification title anymore. You need to complete both
Programmer I and Programmer II exams (be it in any order) to be an Oracle
Certified Professional. Also, there is a single Java 11 Oracle Certified Professional
Upgrade (1Z0-817) exam for Java 6/7/8 Oracle certification holders. On completing the Oracle Certification Professional:
Java SE 11 exam, you earn the title of Developer. So what all is new in it?
The
Earlier Java SE 8 introduced the benefits of functional
programming through lambda expressions and streams. The new Java SE 11 comes
with additional benefits of modularity which provides mechanisms to
address reuse, reliability maintenance, and security. Apart from these, Java SE
11 provides other convenient API enhancements.

The ORACLE CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL: Java SE 11 certificate exam follows a
multiple-choice question format.

minutes. The minimum percentage required to achieve the certification is 63%.
Pre-requisites for the exam:
You must have one
of the following certifications:
Sun Programmer Certification for the Java Platform SE 6
Oracle Professional Certification for Java SE 6, 7 or 8 Programmer

11 Developer you need to qualify two exams the
Java SE 11 Programmer I | 1Z0-815 and the Java SE 11 Programmer II |
